![]() ![]() ![]() Perhaps another movie on the way, I hope so. I only wish I could visit that wonderful fictitious town known as Lansquenet and visit the Chocolaterie. The smells, colours and characters are seen in the eye of the mind so clearly that again I felt transported to France. Put simply, this is a deeply delicious read. The story brings a thousand different images through Joanne Harris' superb ability to capture her readers in a web of intrigue. Ultimately, both characters learn a lot from their varied experiences, and although there are several tragedies along the way, Armande turns out to be right all along, ‘everything returns’ and by the end of the book everything is in its rightful place.
